Self-Defense Training For Girls

Newtown Parks and Recreation is opening a new course as part of its spring program. Judo-Jujitsu is a self-defense training program for Newtown girls ages 10 and up. Christine Rinaldi, a second degree Judo black belt and member of the United States Judo Association, with more than 14 years of teaching experience, will teach the class.

The eight-week program, covering self-defense strategies, tips, tricks and techniques, will take place Wednesdays at Hawley Elementary School from 5:15 to 6:15 pm beginning April 7. Fee is $98. For more information, contact Christine Rinaldi at 270-9468.
