To The Editor:

For the second year, the Danbury Community Band, under the direction of Albert Montecalvo, presented a concert at the Newtown Congregational Church to an enthusiastic crowd. Sponsored by the Danbury Music Centre and in cooperation with the Newtown Cultural Arts Commission, the band celebrated the 250th birthday of the United States and the 90th birthday of the Danbury Music Centre with a rousing selection of Americana music.

The Newtown Cultural Arts Commission was honored to be part of bringing live music to Newtown and we thank the Danbury Music Centre and the Danbury Community Band, and especially Director/Conductor Montecalvo, for making this possible.
