Anyone who wishes to learn about the Newtown Bridle Lands Association, Inc., and the many events it runs throughout the year can now visit the new display at the Cyrenius H. Booth Library on Main Street.
The display is located just outside the Childrenâs Department and showcase the many events the NBLA is involved with throughout the year â including the annual Frost on the Pumpkin Hunter Pace and the Labor Day Parade.
Mary Ehbrecht, as she put the finishing touches on the display, said, âI joined the NBLA to help protect the open space in Newtown and to enjoy riding the beautiful trails. A common misconception about the NBLA is you need to own a horse to join â but the membership is open to anyone concerned with Newtownâs diminishing open spaces.â
Ms Ehbrecht boards her horse, Maestro, at a local farm and enjoys riding the trails of Newtown throughout the year. When you stop by the display, you can see Maestro find the way through the magnificent scenes in town.
The NBLA currently is seeking new members and encourages all those who wish to preserve the trails and open space in Newtown to join. To learn more about the NBLA, call 791-4853 and be sure to stop by the library.
