Lauren Mary Denslow and Michael Kervin Niver were joined in marriage on October 9 at the Newtown United Methodist Church in Sandy Hook, with the Rev Terry Pfeiffer officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Helen and Alan Denslow of Watertown.
The groom is the son of Kervin and Margaret Niver of Pleasant Valley, N.Y.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
The maid of honor was Melissa deFriesse, niece of the bride, of Newtown.
The bridesmaids were the brideâs sisters, Susan Ives of Bethlehem and Karen deFriesse of Newtown, and the groomâs sister, Michele Niver, of Dumont, N.J.
Nicole Ives of Bethlehem, niece of the bride, was junior bridesmaid.
The best man was Dr Richard Scott Sears of Portsmouth, Va.
The ushers were Paul Ives of Bethlehem, Charles Hardy of Oxford, and Donald Secor of Pine Bush, N.Y.
The flower girl was the brideâs niece, Rebecca Ives of Bethlehem.
The ring bearer was Nick Sears of Portsmouth, Va.
The bride graduated from Newtown High School in 1985. She is a data entry clerk at Grolierâs Inc. in Danbury.
The groom graduated from Arlington High School in New York and Technical Careers Institute in Windsor Locks. He is an engineering technician with Trex Medical in Danbury.
The reception was held at the Holiday Inn in Danbury.
After a wedding trip to the Poconos in Pennsylvania, Mr and Mrs Niver are residing in Southbury.
