Alexander B. Lerman, son of Kenneth and Laura Lerman, has been placed on the dean’s list for the fall 1999 semester at the University of Connecticut in Storrs. He is a senior in the School of Engineering, majoring in computer science engineering.

Stephanie. R Hays, daughter of Norma Hays, has been placed on the dean’s list for the fall 1999 semester at the University of Connecticut. She is a senior and will be graduating with two bachelor degrees, one in psychology and one in sociology.

Greg Hays, son of Norma Hays, has been placed on the dean’s list for the fall 1999 semester at the University of Connecticut. He is a sophomore majoring in archeology.

Elizabeth Glaser, a junior majoring in nursing at the University of Rochester, has been named to the fall 1999 dean’s list for academic achievement. She is a graduate of Newtown High School, and a resident of Newtown.

Kristen Anne Deschermeier, a freshman in the School of International Service at American University majoring in international studies, was named to the fall 1999 dean’s list. Miss Deschermeier is a resident of Newtown.

Tristan Blanchard, daughter of Kirk and Judy Blanchard of Newtown, was recently named to the dean’s list at St Mary’s Honors College of Maryland. A biology major, Tristan has also been selected to participate in the West Africa Field Study Program. She will be spending the summer in The Gambia, West Africa, where she will design and implement a project that will benefit the Gambian people. Tristan is a 1998 graduate of Newtown High School.

Sandy Hook resident Nicholas Caruso, son of Patrick and Joanne Caruso and a freshman at Caterbury School, New Milford, has been named to the honor roll (high honors) for the third marking period of the 1999-2000 school year.
