FCC Workshop On Alcoholism

The Family Counseling Center is sponsoring a workshop entitled “Recognizing Alcoholism” on March 29 at the Cyrenius Booth Library, Main Street. The workshop will be given by Pamela Evans, MFT, in the meeting room, from 7 to 8:30 pm.

If you or someone you know has shown up late for work, disappointed family members, or couldn’t remember what happened the night before because of too much to drink, this workshop could be the first step in getting help. Participants will learn about the differences between alcohol dependence, alcohol abuse, and risky drinking.

Pamela Evans, a therapist at the Family Counseling Center, said, “We hope that this workshop will help to increase public understanding of alcohol abuse and alcoholism as clinical disorders that can be treated.”
