Buttners Celebrate

Their 40th

Lynn and Ron Buttner of Newtown celebrated their fortieth anniversary on March 18.

Lynn, a former teacher and retired psychotherapist, volunteers at Ann’s Place, the Home of I Can, and is active in the Newtown community. Although Ron continues his successful career as an engineer and president of Anodic, Inc, in Stevenson and The A.K. Allen Company in Mineola, N.Y., a highlight of their 40 years of marriage were the 12 years they worked weekends together as professional musicians. Music continues to play an important role in their lives.

In 1965, Lynn and Ron met on Long Island when Ron was playing in a band. Lynn approached the stage from the audience to sing with them, and Ron, turning to his drummer, said, “I’m going to marry her!”

Forty years later, they are still making beautiful music together.
