Tiernan Keane was the first Ham for the promotion of NewtownREADS To Kill A Mockingbird. He and his mother, Joanne, creator of the ham costume, handed out free books during The Hamâs first foray into the public on March 12. To find out âWhy a ham?â pick up your free copy of To Kill A Mockingbird and join in NewtownREADS. Several other Hams will be showing up around town during March and April. Let the library know when The Ham is on the loose.
