Womenâs Center Seeking Hotline Volunteers
DANBURY â The Womenâs Center of Greater Danbury is currently screening candidates for its Spring Domestic Violence-Sexual Assault Hotline Training.
The 40-hour training will begin April 18 and continue through May 24. Volunteer positions are available for staffing the hotline (from home), providing individual counseling, facilitating a support group or working at the Centerâs shelter for battered women and their children.

The Womenâs Center of Greater Danbury provides free and confidential services to prevent or lessen the trauma associated with domestic violence, sexual assault, and other major life transitions to thousands of women, children and men annually. The programs of the Womenâs Center are supported by state and local government, area United Way agencies, and the people and businesses in the communities it serves including Bethel, Bridgewater, Brookfield, Danbury, Kent, New Fairfield, New Milford, Newtown, Redding, Ridgefield, Roxbury, Sherman, Warren and Washington.
