Carmina (Provenzano) Porco

Carmina “Carmela” (Provenzano) Porco, 79, of Bridgeport, a retired seamstress, died on March 23 at St Vincent’s Medical Center, Bridgeport.

She was the mother of Mercurio “Michael” Porco of Sandy Hook.

Mrs Porco was the daughter of the late Frank and Maria (Bruno) Provenzano, and the widow of Salvatore Porco.

Born in Halewood, Penn., she moved to Italy at age 2 and emigrated to Canada in 1953, before returning to the United States in 1955.

Survivors include another son, Beniamino Porco of Bridgeport; a daughter, Maria Marini of Easton; four grandchildren, Michael Porco, Tina Porco, Frank Marini, and Victoria Marini.

Funeral services took place on March 25 from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and in Holy Rosary Church, Bridgeport, for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment was in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.
