DANBURY — The Danbury Municipal Federal Credit Union with Norwest Mortgage, a Wells Fargo Company, will offer a free homebuyers program on April 19. This program will offer advice for first time homebuyers and also offer information on mortgage refinancing and information for current homeowners wishing to purchase a new residence.

Fred Shepherd, manager of the Norwest Danbury office, will discuss financing options, qualification guidelines, and current mortgage interest rates.

Attorney Hillel Goldman of the Baker law firm will discuss the role of the buyer’s attorney in the mortgage loan process, what to watch out for when purchasing a home, how to avoid many common home purchase mistakes, and how to protect your most important purchase. Attorney Goldman will answer questions on the real estate closing process.

Jack Doyle of ProCheck Home Inspection Service will discuss what to look for in the home inspection process. Matt Rose of Century 21-Lombardi Realtors will discuss how to select a realtor, determining your specific needs, and the role of the realtor.
