Life’s Delicate Balance

DANBURY — One does not have to be an environmental activist to be deeply concerned about the dangerous chemical substances and radiation that can be found all around us. These pollutants have been linked to the soaring rates of breast cancer, and other cancers, in our society today.

On Thursday, April 6, the author Janette Sherman will discuss her new book, Life’s Delicate Balance, at Barnes & Noble Bookstore. In her book, Ms Sherman documents many cases of breast cancer, highlighting means to prevention. Her well-researched work has been called “a fitting successor to [Rachel Carson’s] Silent Spring” by Jay M. Gould of the Radiation and Public Health Project.

Ms Sherman will be at Barnes & Noble at 7:30 pm. The store is in Danbury Square, at 15 Backus Avenue. For additional information, the book store can be contacted by calling 730-2733.
