Miss Williams

By Sammie Ciaccia, Jillian Logan, Valerie Nezvesky & Kelly Fagan

Miss Heather Lee Williams is a big help to the Middle Gate Elementary School. She is the school psychologist who helps students, parents, and teachers solve their problems. She helps to ensure that all children are able to learn in a healthy, supportive environment. She enjoys being able to help others work through their difficulties and she believes in the importance of obtaining a solid education.

Miss Williams chose to work at Middle Gate because the teachers and other staff members who she met were knowledgeable and welcoming. Middle Gate just seemed to be a good fit for her. She loves her job!

She enjoys the students who attend Middle Gate School as well as the staff members who work here.

Miss Williams also likes her unpredictable job. It keeps her on her toes! She is always happy when problems are resolved successfully. She teaches students a five-step problem method. The problems that people have may vary. Here are some of them:  getting along with peers, having parents divorce, difficulty controlling anger, and having trouble learning.

In Miss Williams’ spare time, she likes all types of sports, going to the movies and theater, as well as reading. Miss Williams went to Sacred Heart University and the University of Hartford. She went to college for 7 years total. Miss Williams really helps Middle Gate School.
