Mt Pleasant DUI

About 9 am March 27, police said they spotted motorist Constance Defilippo, 52, of Southbury traveling over the road’s center line and shoulder line on Mt Pleasant Road, near Taunton Lane, so they stopped her to investigate.

Police charged Defilippo with driving under the influence, making a restricted turn, and a travel lane violation.

After processing, Defilippo posted $250 bail and was released for an April 10 appearance in Danbury Superior Court.

South Main Collision

Police report a two-car collision in front of Ricky’s Shopping Center at 71 South Main Street about 3:45 pm March 23.

The accident involved motorist Brian Gibney, 69, of Brookfield, who was driving a 1994 Saturn sedan, and motorist Jillian Moses, 17, of 35 Equestrian Ridge Road, who was driving a 2001 Honda Accord sedan, police said. There were no injuries.

Police issued Gibney a written warning for failure to grant the right of way.

Chevrolet Vs Volvo

At about 4:20 pm March 22, motorist Michael Bria, 32, of Woodbury, who was driving a 1999 Chevrolet station wagon eastward near 136 Mt Pleasant Road, skidded on the wet road and struck the rear end of an eastbound 2001 Volvo station wagon driven by Dina DiMartino, 39, of 5 Dylan Drive, police said.

DiMartino reported neck pain, but refused medical attention, police said. Police issued Bria a written warning for following too closely.
