Owner Of B&L Cleaners

Thomas “Bill” Lee, 78, of Bridgeport, died March 19 at Astoria Park Health Care. Born in Jacksonville, Fla., Mr Lee had been a resident of the city for more than 50 years.

He is survived by four sons, Anthony Holloway of Newtown, Valentina Lee of Florida, Hosea Holloway of Seymour, and Todd “Weaser” Lee of Willimantic; two daughters, Laronya Lee of Michigan and Gussie Lee of Florida; 20 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

He was the owner/operator of B&L Cleaners, which he operated on Pequonnock Street in  for many years. He also owned and operated several other cleaners in different locations throughout the city.

Local funeral services were held March 25 at Mt Aery Baptist Church, 73 Frank Street, Bridgeport, with the Rev Anthony L. Bennett, D Min Pastor, officiating. Interment will take place in Edgewood Cemetery, Jacksonville, Fla., Saturday, March 31.

Morton’s Mortuary, 25 Margaret East Morton Lane, Bridgeport, was in charge of arrangements.
