Wednesday, March 18 was a special evening for local senior citizens, as Newtown High School’s PTSA and student government treated them to a dinner and special performance of the school’s spring musical, Mamma Mia!.

Seniors filled rows of tables set up throughout the high school’s gymnasium and enjoyed food provided by Nick’s Catering such as salad, pasta, chicken francese, and eggplant parmigiana.

They could also pair that with sweets provided by the event organizers, including cookies, marble cake, and churro donut bites, along with drinks such as bottled water and coffee. Immediately after dinner, everyone gathered into the school’s auditorium for the show.
