WATERBURY â Womenâs health issues will be the focus of Waterbury Hospitalâs annual TGIF (Thank God Iâm Female) womenâs wellness forum on Friday, April 15, at the Villa Rosa Wedding & Banquet Facility. This yearâs event, which has been sold out nearly every year since its inception, will feature special guest Teresa LaBarbera of WTNH News 8.
Proceeds from TGIF will benefit the Telemetry Unit at Waterbury Hospital, a 30-bed cardiac monitored unit where patients who are experiencing heart problems, recovering from certain cardiac tests or procedures, or who are at risk of cardiac events are continuously monitored.
This yearâs program, titled, âIf You Thought You Were Hot at 20, âFlashâ Forward to Menopause,â will feature keynote speakers John Lewis, MD, and Marcia Tejeda, MD. Dr Lewis and Dr Tejeda are seasoned presenters in private practice with The Center for Womenâs Health in Connecticut, in Waterbury.
