Karate Kids Earn Their Ranks

Porco’s Karate Academy recently held its quarterly testing event for students of all ages and ranks. In the two-hour test, the students showed to a panel of black belt instructors everything they had learned.

Grandmaster Robert Beaudoin appeared as a special guest to see the students’ progress.

The test involves many different sections: hand and feet technique combinations, forms, weapon forms, self-defense techniques involving hands, feet, and grabs, free fighting, rolls and break falls, and an oral test on different aspects of Tang Soo Do.

All students impressed main instructor Master Michael Porco Sr with their energy, effort, and spirit. The test concluded with each student receiving his or her new rank in celebration.
