To The Editor:

There are people who love people. People who honor and respect the well-being of others, people who care about our town, people who make sure others are counted in and offered a seat at the table, and people who see the best in everyone and make sure they know their worth.

Here in Newtown, that person is Brandon Moore.

Brandon has put his time and energy into making sure that people are aware of all that is available to them. He shows up and delivers on his promises. He is exactly the kind of person who sees the best in everyone.

This was never more evident than during the recent debate hosted by the College Democrats of Connecticut, where Brandon stepped up to for our community by answering the tough questions. He was asked thoughtful, substantive questions by college student moderators, along with questions from the audience, on important issues like housing, education, and rising electricity costs.

During his opening remarks, Brandon’s first response was to genuinely thank the college students who put in the time and effort to make this event possible. They deserved that gratitude, and their professionalism was truly impressive. He made sure they knew it. Brandon is always willing to share the stage and encourage others to take part. He is a team player who makes everyone feel welcome.

Newtown is fortunate to have Brandon stepping forward to serve and advocate for our community. He is devoted to making Newtown better every day. He does this by staying engaged and listening to what people are concerned about. This is what truly matters to him.

Brandon is someone who can deliver, in the kindest and most reassuring manner. He is THE person to take on the role of Newtown’s State Representative.
