Carpenter And Mason

Francis E. “Frank” Musnicki, 85, of Newtown, formerly of Danbury, died April 3 at the Danbury Hospital following a long illness. He was the husband of Helen M. (Smalley) Musnicki.

Mr Musnicki was born in Danbury September 14, 1921, the son of Isadore and Amelia (Borovska) Musnicki.

A lifelong resident of Danbury until recently moving to Newtown, Mr Musnicki served in the US Navy during World War II aboard a sub chaser in Italy, Southern France, and North Africa.

For many years he was employed as a carpenter and mason for several construction companies in the Danbury area. He also was employed with the R.A. Boehm Co. of Bethel, retiring in 1986.

In addition to his wife of 61 years, Mr Musnicki is survived by two daughters, Anna Mae Hornecker and her husband, Roger, of New Milford, and Mary Ann Musnicki of Southbury; one son, Martin Musnicki and his fiancé, Susan Downs, of Southbury; and two grandchildren, Scott Hornecker and his wife, Jeana; and Jeremy Musnicki.

There are no calling hours. Services will be private.

The Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street, Danbury is in charge of arrangements.
