Warrant
Newtown Police report they served an arrest warrant against Alfred Gfroehrer, 39, of Enfield on April 11 at Danbury Superior Court.
Police arrested Gfroehrer on charges of credit card theft, third-degree identity theft, and three counts of sixth-degree larceny.
Gfroehrer was held on $25,000 bail and then arraigned on the charges that day in court, according to police.
Police obtained the warrant for his arrest after investigating a complaint against Gfroehrer which they received last December.
Wheelbarrow
Sometime between April 6 and April 9, someone stole a dark green wheelbarrow from a property on High Bridge Road. Police ask anyone with information on the incident to contact them at the police station at 203-426-5841.
Warrant
Newtown police said that at about 10:30 am on April 10, they arrested Ismael Agosto, 28, of Waterbury on a warrant at the Waterbury police station, charging Agosto with sixth-degree larceny and third-degree forgery.
Police obtained the warrant for Agostoâs arrest after investigating an October 15, 2011, complaint from a Newtown resident that a blank check had been stolen from the residentâs truck and then cashed, police said.
After processing, police released Agosto on $5,000 bail for an April 25 court appearance.
