No More Excuses

In Afghanistan

To the Editor:

It was reported that night raids, conducted by foreign troops, have been a constant source of tension between the Afghan government and US military. [Afghan] President Karzai stated that they are provocative when carried out by foreign troops. This stone-age society is the same society that continues to use children as suicide bombers. This stone-age society has beheaded journalists. This stone-age society has murdered humane missionaries yet, our country continues to wage war in this living hell.

There can be no more excuses. There can be no more apologies. There can be no more financial aid given to this corrupt stone-age society. This is a war not a game. This is a war not a negotiation. Stop the ass-kissing! If these night raids need to conform to Afghan law then let Afghan soldiers conduct the raids not the US military. Let Afghan troops do the dying not our military soldiers. This is utter madness! The Afghan government is dictating to us what we need to do. What we should do is send our pathetic President and Congress to frontline duty over to that stone-age society. We should send the Secretary of State over there so she can engage in some sort of “tough” dialogue. I think to appease the Afghan government our Secretary of State will be able to negotiate a deal where we will equip our fearless government leaders with no bullets, only paint balls. They will be not be allowed to shoot after 5 pm and will not be allowed to return fire unless we have signed authorization to return fire.

The pitiful excuse in Washington must be removed in November. Vote them out!
