Assisting People With Vision Loss

As part of its National Vision Awareness Campaign, the Jewish Guild for the Blind is offering a new version of its brochure for people who want to learn more about the correct way to interact with a blind or visually impaired person.

Entitled Assisting People with Vision Loss, the brochure is designed to help sighted people understand how best to assist family, friends, colleagues, or strangers who may be blind or visually impaired, on the street, at work, and in the home.

The 12-page, two-color brochure is well illustrated using computer generated artwork, and fits easily into a pocket or a no. 10 envelope. Its layout follows an easy to understand format of dos and don’ts, with such tips as “Do introduce yourself” and “Don’t shout.”

For a free copy of this brochure, write Public Relations Department, The Jewish Guild for the Blind, 15 West 65th Street, New York NY 10023.
