An Easy Way To Track Legislation
An Easy Way
To Track Legislation
To the Editor:
It is a little late in this legislative session to be reminding everyone of how you can track what is happening up in Hartford, but I feel it is very important for all of us to follow what our legislators are proposing and what bills we might want to voice an opinion on.
The process is very simple! Go to the Connecticut General Assembly website (www.cga.ct.gov/). On that page you will see a Bill Tracking tab at the top. Click on that tab, which will take you to a page called Connecticut General Assembly, Public Bill Tracking. If you are new to this site, click on the Register button which will take you to a simple registration page. After you register, you then may choose to track bills that your legislator sponsors, activities of certain committees, and specific bills. You will then receive e-mails from this website on any activity regarding the individuals, committees, or specific bills that you may have selected to track.
It is easy and a great way to be involved and have your voice heard. I track bills sponsored by Chris Lyddy and John McKinney and bills that go through the Public Health Committee as well as select bills that I feel will impact my career, lifestyle, or the public good.
Get involved. It only takes a few minutes!
