Matthew Mudry, 83, died March 31, in Goshen, where he resided with his son, Tom, and Tomâs wife Elaine, for the past four years. Mr Mudry was born in Lutina, Czechoslovakia, one of five children.
Survivors include two additional sons, Matthew and Michael Mudry, and his wife Lynn; two daughters, Susan Stanczyk, and her husband Matthew, of Sandy Hook and Zdenka Krumbholzova, and her husband George; two sisters; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; five nieces and two nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Helen; and two siblings.
Mr Mudry was a model maker by trade and worked more than 50 years in small and large shops in Connecticut.
He was an outdoorsman, an avid gardener, and loved carpentry. He traveled to visit his children, and family in Europe.
Mr Mudry will be remembered for staying involved in all of his childrenâs lives. He always helped others, was the first on the dance floor to polka, and could light up a room when he played his harmonica. He would say every morning, âIt is a beautiful day.â
His family would like to thank the Visiting Nurses and Hospice of Litchfield County for their caring staff and support.
Services were private.
