Beloved Mother And Grandmother

Therese (Broadhurst) Henion, 74, of Newtown, died suddenly, April 11. She was born in Norwalk, attended Norwalk schools, and lived most of her life locally.

She worked for many years at Edwards Company and more recently Norden Systems, both in Norwalk, until her retirement.

Mrs Henion is survived by her four sons, Wayne, a retired Sergeant of the Norwalk Police Department and currently of Mathews, Va.; Brian, and wife Joyce, of New Milford; Gregory, and wife Megan, of Beacon Falls; and Scott of Norwalk. In addition she is survived by nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, John A. Henion, Jr, and both of her parents, Woodrow Wilson Broadhurst and Edith (Anderson) Broadhurst. 

The Henion family will receive friends on Friday, April 15, in Norwalk’s Hoyt-Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 5 East Wall Street, from 4 to 8 pm. Funeral services will take place Saturday, April 16, at 10 am, at the Beacon Hill Evangelical Free Church, Old Zoar Road, Monroe, with the Rev Rich Flashman to officiate. Interment will be held privately, at the convenience of the family.
