Creating Conflict And Taking Control
Creating Conflict And
Taking Control
The following letter to Congressman Chris Murphy has been received for publication.
Dear Congressman Chris Murphy:
This was first written about one or two weeks after our national presidential elections and now revised today:
When I see our first black president with his family, I am glad and proud that our country has passed a milestone in its history. Their victory rests on the lives sacrificed in the civil rights movement and is personified in Martin Luther King Jr. His message moved our country to oppose racism more than any president has done to this date.
Our current president is losing the dream of unity and rising prosperity for all His administration is developing policies which polarize various groups against one another. There is elevated racial tension when it should be the opposite. The point seems to be to create conflict, which will empower the government to take more and more control. Is this how our government rings âThe Freedom Bell?â
