PQI (Performance and Quality Improvement) Meeting: In our effort to create quality programs responsive to community needs, Newtown Youth & Family Services invites all interested members of the community to the monthly PQI meetings.

The next meeting will be Thursday, April 22, at 10 am.

Reminder

Independent Living Day is Saturday, April 24, are we are looking for volunteers.

Independent Living Day allows low to moderate income seniors and disabled residents to remain in their homes independently for longer periods of time. Additionally this project provides the seniors with a link to the outside community making them feel welcomed and cared for as part of the larger community.

There are a few different few shifts you can work: Morning at a Home, 9:30- 11:30 am; or Afternoon at a Home, 1-3 pm. We are looking for people willing to work one or both of these shifts, or even all day.

Contact Jessi at NYFS if you are interested in volunteering. Call her at the phone number at the end of this column or send her an email at JZeigler@NewtownYouthAndFamilyServices.org.

Support Groups

Contact NYFS for additional information about our ongoing support groups including Alateen, Children of Divorce, Circle of Parents, Coffee And Conversation, Newtown PAC (Parents Advocating for their Children), Sibshop, and Women Empowering Women.

All programs take place at NYFS, 17 Church Hill Road, unless otherwise noted. For more information call 203-270-4335
