Union Savings Bank Introduces New Logo

DANBURY — The mutual bank that the greater Danbury region has counted on for 143 years has launched a distinctive new visual identity.

Union Savings Bank has updated its widely recognized clock symbol with vibrant green tones and modern typography for a new logo that is being introduced throughout the region during the next several weeks through branch signage, point of sale, TV, print ,and web advertising.

“Our new logo embraces Union Savings’ history, while also reflecting our approach to meeting the needs of today’s customers with innovative solutions, products, and technologies,” said Union Savings Bank President John C. Kline. “We wanted a fresh representation of the logo that blends our ongoing commitment to stability and security while conveying our progressive approach of helping our customers define and meet their banking and investment goals.”

The logo was chosen and developed as the culmination of a two-year project to refine the bank’s brand strategy that incorporated rigorous internal and external research.

Union Savings Bank’s marketing team worked with Pita Group, its strategic marketing and advertising partner, to integrate survey and focus group feedback into the development of a fresh design that simultaneously pays homage to Union Savings Bank’s strong, 143-year history — and the clock icon that has been so closely associated with their brand — while illustrating forward-thinking momentum to continually evolve.

The outcome: an identity that is cleanly designed, visually approachable, contemporary, and progressive.

“Our original clock logo was introduced in the early 1900s and last updated in the 1980s,” said Mr Kline. “It has become a symbol of our dependability, security, and commitment to the community.”
