GARDEN WALKS START MAY 20 AT BELLAMY-FERRIDAY HOUSE & GARDEN

BETHLEHEM, CONN. — The Antiquarian & Landmarks Society will offer garden walks at the Bellamy-Ferriday House & Garden with site horticulturist George McCleary and Sophie Kelly, an organic gardener. As the season progresses, the walks will highlight the many varieties of historic flora located in the garden as well as care and propagation techniques. Garden walks at 9 Main Street North, are free for A&L members and $6 for nonmembers.

Garden walks begin at 3 pm and dates include, Sunday, May 20, flowering trees and shrubs featuring 15 varieties of lilacs; Sunday, June 17, “Rose Culture”; Sunday, July 15, “Examining Perennials”; and Sunday, August 19, “Annuals in Bloom”
