CL&P Winter Protection Programs Scheduled To End May 1
BERLIN â The Connecticut Light & Power Company (CL&P) and Yankee Gas Services Company (Yankee Gas) remind customers that the Winter Protection Program for 2008-2009 is scheduled to come to a close on May 1. CL&P and Yankee Gas participants with an outstanding balance should call as soon as possible to make payment arrangements.
CL&P and Yankee Gas are willing to work with customers who are having financial difficulties. The companies will do everything they can to avoid shutting off customers for nonpayment. CL&P customers are urged to call CL&Pâs Credit & Collections Center at 800-286-2828 to make payment arrangements. Yankee Gas customers should call 800-438-2278 to request payment arrangements for their gas bill.
âThe last thing we want to do is cut off service to a customer,â said John Ferrantino, director of customer solutions for CL&P. âWe know that during this current economic environment, more customers are having a tougher time paying their CL&P or Yankee Gas bills and may need some help. We want them to contact us immediately to work out a payment schedule.â
