Frank Bernard Krawiecki, 83, of Bridgewater, died March 6 at New Milford Hospital.
He was born on Kenan Road in Newtown on May 24, 1925, in Hawleyville. Survivors include his brother Albert from Hawleyville.
Mr Krawiecki was the son of Feliks and Veronika (Koslowski) Krawiecki. He was predeceased by his wife Janis (Frizzell) Krawiecki.
After high school, he worked on various dairy farms in the area before joining the US Army in 1950 and serving with the military police in Hawaii until his discharge in 1952. He returned home and began driving large tanker trucks, picking up milk from local farms until the early 1960s. He then became a journeyman plumber. After obtaining his master plumberâs license in the early 1960s, he opened his own plumbing business from which he retired in 1985.
He was an active member of the Bridgewater Volunteer Fire Department for many years. He was a parishioner of St Patrickâs Church in Roxbury. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, travel, and working on his property in Bridgewater. He is survived by a son, a grandson, two great-grandchildren, three brothers, and a sister.
Funeral services were held on March 14.
