Celebrated Yale A Cappella Singing Group At Trinity, April 27
The Yale Alley Cats, world renowned men’s a cappella singing group from Yale University, will perform in concert at Trinity Episcopal Church, 36 Main Street, on Sunday, April 27, at 5 pm.
Established in 1943, the group’s musical roots are jazz, but their song list includes Motown, classical and pop. Music @ Trinity is proud to be hosting the Alley Cats, a unique group known for their musical excellence, harmonious voice and humor. The group’s diverse song list and acknowledged musical excellence have allowed them to perform at a host of different venues, from jazz clubs, embassies, the set of NBC’s The West Wing and the main stage at Dresden Music Festival to the beaches of Hawaii, the set of Martha Stewart Living, Parisian squares, Spanish boulevards and of course, the hallowed halls of Yale University.
In addition to the Yale Alley Cats, the April 27 concert will feature the Trinity Choristers, a choir of young singers conducted by Trinity Director of Music Ministries Fiona Smith Sutherland.
The hour long concert will be followed by a reception. Attendees will be invited to meet and talk with the singers.
