Openings In Wind Ensemble

SOUTHBURY — The Community Wind Ensemble of Western Connecticut has begun its spring rehearsal season. New members are welcome to join in several sections.

The ensemble recently engaged a new conductor, Robert DuBois, who succeeds Allan Martin.

The Community Wind Ensemble of Western Connecticut is a group of about 25 volunteer woodwind, brass, and percussion players from area communities. The musicians represent all ages and many different walks of life. The group’s repertoire includes music from films and theater, light classics, Americana, and contemporary concert band pieces.
