Weekend Bird Walks

DERBY — For anyone who enjoys watching birds, Kellogg Environmental Center volunteer Maria Stockmal will lead relaxing weekend walks in search of local birds at the environmental center.

Experience the joy of observing birds in the wild, sharpen your bird identification skills, or just enjoy a hike through the grounds of Kellogg Environmental Center and Osbornedale State Park. The free walks are scheduled for Saturday, April 26 at 5 pm; and Saturday, May 24, at 8 am.

Walks last up to two hours, depending on conditions. Walkers should plan to meet in the parking lot of Kellogg Environmental Center, 500 Hawthorne Avenue (off Route 34; signs are posted) to begin. All levels of birders are encouraged to participate.
