AARP Driver Safety Course Being Offered
SOUTHBURY â Brownstein Jewish Family Service of The Federation-Jewish Communities of Western Connecticut, has joined with the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) to offer a Driver Safety Course.
The life saving driversâ refresher course saves money, too, as participants may be eligible to receive a significant reduction in their insurance rates upon completion of the two-session, eight-hour class. In Connecticut, individuals over 62 qualify for an insurance discount of at least five percent.
Classes will be held at the Walzer Family Jewish Community Campus, 444 Main Street North. The two sessions will be held on Mondays, May 14 and 21, from 9 am to 1 pm.
The fee for the course is $10 and checks should be made out to AARP. Participants are encouraged to register early, as class size is limited.
