Barbara S. Dratch, 77, of Danbury, beloved wife of the late Michael J. Dratch, died at her home April 17. Mrs Dratch was born in Danbury November 6, 1929, daughter of Joseph and Mary (Repko) Seaman.
She is survived by a brother, William Seaman of Newtown; her daughter, Shirley M. Connors, of Danbury; two grandson, Edward Connors and wife, Lisa, of Waterbury and Michael Connors and wife, Stacey, of Bethel; and four great-grandchildren, Austin, Patrick, Ashley, and Christopher Connors. She was predeceased by her son-in-law, Edward Connors.
She is also survived by her âgirls,â Lady, Tramp, and Shelby.
Mrs Dratch was a graduate of Danbury High School and had worked for Union Savings Bank for more than 20 years and then went on to work as office manager for the Colonial Ford Company for 15 years, and then went to work as bookkeeper for Jones, Damia & Kaufman, Attorneys at Law.
She was a longtime member of St Peter Church. She was a devoted mother and had a love for cooking and baking.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St Peter Church on Monday, April 23, at 9:30 am. Burial will be in St Peter Cemetery. Friends may call at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street, Danbury, Sunday, April 22, from 4 to 8 pm.
