The dispatchers at the emergency communications center at Town Hall South report the following fire calls during the past week:

Pumping Calls:

Due to the heavy rains that occurred on April 15 and 16, the town’s five volunteer fire companies responded to a very high number of calls to pump water of out flooded basements.

Between 5:49 pm on April 15, and 5:49 pm on April, 18, the fire companies responded to 95 water pumping calls throughout town. Firefighters responded to 6 pumping calls on April 15;  74 pumping calls on April 16; 13 pumping calls on April 17; and 2 pumping calls on April 18.
