Chamber Hosting 'Shop Local' Expo, Taste of Bethel
Chamber Hosting âShop Localâ Expo, Taste of Bethel
BETHEL â The Bethel Chamber of Commerce is hosting its first âShop Localâ Business Expo and Taste of Bethel Sunday, April 29. The Expo, presented by Webster Bank, is free to the public and will feature Bethel businesses, service providers, and nonprofits.
The chamber is using the event to spread the word that every local purchase is an investment in local schools and other public services, and that supporting the Bethel business community is fun, convenient and responsible.
The Expo gives business owners the opportunity to meet potential customers, talk about products and services, offer special discounts for the day, and to reach out and say thanks, according to the Bethel Chamber. Exhibitors will also have the opportunity to network with other local businesses and learn about the services that may help their own business grow.
For attendees, the Expo offers an opportunity to discover or rediscover what is happening in their own backyard. There will be activities for the children and adults, along with restaurants and caterers from the area providing free food samples in the Taste of Bethel.
There is no cost to attend. The event will be held at the Stony Hill Inn on Newtown Road/Route 6 from noon to 4 pm.
There are still a few exhibitor spaces available. The Expo is sponsored by Comcast Spotlight, Escape Salon & Spa, Vinylume, and the Berkshire Broadcasting Corporation and presented by Webster Bank.
