Genevieve O. ‘Dolly’ Talarico

Lifelong Area Resident

Genevieve O. “Dolly” Talarico, 98, of Newtown, died on April 16, at the Lutheran Home, Southbury. She was the wife of the late Vincent J. Talarico, Sr. She was born on January 10, 1914, in Danbury, the daughter of Carmella (Mazza) and Pasquale Baldasare.

A lifelong area resident, she loved spending special times with her family, cooking, and was an avid Yankees fan. She is survived by her daughter Jean Passero, and her husband Mark, daughter-in-law Sally Talarico, eight grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Dolly was predeceased by her son Vincent J. Talarico, Jr, as well as two brothers and three sisters.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions are requested to be made to the Lutheran Home of Southbury 990 Main Street North, Southbury CT 06488, or the Alzheimer’s Association, CT Chapter, 2075 Silas Dean Highway, Suite 100, Rocky Hill CT 06067. The Green Funeral Home 57 Main Street, Danbury, is in charge of arrangements.
