Support Group For Adults Who Have Lost Parents

SOUTHPORT — VITAS Innovative Hospice Care offers bereavement support groups to anyone who has experienced the loss of a loved one. These groups offer understanding, useful information and sharing with others who are grieving.

VITAS Innovative Hospice Care is the nation’s largest provider of end-of-life care. A pioneer and leader in the hospice movement since 1978, VITAS has been caring for the terminally ill and their families in Fairfield County and Milford since 2005.

The next group will be a six-week group for adults who have lost a parent. It begins Monday, May 2, and continues every Monday through June 13 (excluding Memorial Day), at Connecticut Health of Southport, 930 Mill Hill Terrace.

This group will be led by VITAS Chaplains Susan Arner and Norma Schmidt. To register or for more information, call Norma Schmidt, 203-455-3300, extension 3518.
