Public Invited To Chamber
âInvestor Protectionâ Workshop
The Newtown, Bethel, and Brookfield Chambers of Commerce are hosting a workshop titled âInvestor Protectionâ Wednesday, April 28, at Three Oaks at Capellaroâs, 42 Vail Road in Bethel from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. The event is open to the public and the entrance fee of $20 includes the workshop and lunch.
Ralph Lambiase, securities director of the State of Connecticut Department of Banking, will discuss the structure of the financial marketplace and the role of the Securities Division, which includes protecting investors.
Recent economic trends have had a significant impact on individuals who strive to save and invest their hard-earned money toward the goal of a comfortable and secure lifestyle. The process in the past was simple, and investment scams or frauds did not seem as prevalent.
In this century, however, financial fraud seems to be abundant, so the public is invited to come and listen to how the State of Connecticut can help protect security investments.
This luncheon seminar is sponsored in part by Webster Bank. Reservations are required, and can be made by contacting the chamber office at 203-426-2695.
