Of Love

Wilton — On Saturday, May 1, at noon, discover “The Nature of Love” at Weir Farm National Historic Site with local scholar, poet, and volunteer Bonnie Tremante as she discusses the love letters exchanged between artist Julian Alden Weir and his young fiancée Anna Dwight Baker.

In the letters, Julian and Anna express their deep affection for each other, as well as their observations of nature and its relation to the developing bond between them. Attendees will walk the spring landscape while learning about the direct connection between art, love, and the landscape that was so fundamental to Weir’s appreciation of his Branchville farm.
