Candlewood Valley Chapter Of Trout Unlimited Youth Education Day

The Candlewood Valley Chapter of Trout Unlimited will be teaching children about the sport of fly fishing, fly tying and stream ecology in its second annual Youth Education Day along the banks of the East Aspectuck River at the Pratt Nature Center in New Milford on May 2. The event is open to children ages 8-18 years and their parents.

Volunteer members of the chapter, as well as friends from the community, will teach children the basics of fishing for trout with a fly rod, will explore the streambed to understand the food chain of this special habitat and will get to try their hand at tying a fly.
