Talk On ‘Creative’ Middle School Education

Dr Steve Sagarin, co-founder and instructor at the Great Barrington Waldorf High School, will discuss how a middle school education at Waldorf — renowned for its emphasis on fostering imagination, creativity, and analytical concepts — equips students with exceptional scientific and mathematical aptitude, as well as a joy for lifelong learning.

The lecture will be on Wednesday, April 29, at 7 pm at the Housatonic Valley Waldorf School Atrium, 40 Dodgingtown Road. Admission is free.

Dr Sagarin has his doctorate from Columbia University, and his BA from Princeton University. He is a graduate of the Waldorf School of Garden City, N.Y., where he taught for 11 years. Dr Sagarin has taught history of education at Teachers College, Columbia University, developmental psychology at the City University of New York, and United States and World History at Berkshire Community College.
