Hello Newtown! Itâs that time of year already! Time to get out your gym sneakers, gather up your groups of friends, and work with us as we plan our sixth annual Relay For Life event. We are looking forward to seeing you all again! With so many changes to the event this year, we would like to personally invite you to view our website at www.relayforlife.org/newtownct.
Please join us at any of our public meetings held at the Newtown Middle School beginning at 7 pm. Future dates are April 30 and May 14. These meetings provide the public and registered teams with updates, information, and an opportunity to work together to create unique fundraising opportunities as a community.
The event will be held on June 13â14 this year and we are so excited to announce that the event will be held at the Fairfield Hills Campus. Thank you to the Fairfield Hill Authority who granted us permission to host the event there. We are really looking forward to another amazing year.
Last year Newtown was recognized as an inspirational community as we raised over $410,000! Way to go Newtown! This year we are sympathetic to the economic hardships so many of us are facing. However, while we are encountering financial difficulties, imagine those individuals in need of medications and treatments who also are facing financial troubles. Cancer never sleeps and it will not be stopped by our current economic challenges. Please help us fight back in any way you can. Start a team, join an existing team, or join us at the event to express your support. We promise to move and inspire you the minute you enter the gates!!
