Modeling Event Lands Town 'Celebs' On The Runway
On Saturday, April 18, more than two dozen Newtown officials, staff, and local "celebrities" hit the runway at Rock Ridge Country Club to help support the C.H. Booth Library's CHBMakers initiative.
CHBMakers provides patrons of all ages with opportunities to research, develop, and actually create imaginative products through 3D printing, video production, and much more. A variety of platforms for creating is the goal of CHBMakers, moving forward.
The event featured 3D printer-designed centerpieces and a grand prize jeweled necklace created by Quality Gem jeweler Dennis Janofsky using the technology.
Thanks to ticket buyers at the sold-out event, high participation in a silent auction, the pendent raffle, which was won by Judy Rosentel, and a live auction called by Monsignor Bob Weiss of St Rose of Lima Church, organizers of the event representing Booth Library Board raised more than $25,000.
Organizers included Liz Arneth, Pat Denlinger, Lynda Doyle, Kathy Geckle, Kathy Madzula, and Mary Thomas.
And models for the fashion show - which featured outfits primarily of their own design - were Noelle D'Agostino; Dan Riccio and Matt Riccio; Dr Dawn Bogdan and Dr Robert Grossman; Ann LoBosco and Chief Michael Kehoe; Christine Fairchild and Sean Reilly; Caryn Golden and Peter D'Amico; Beryl Harrison and Trent Harrison; Amber Edwards and Justin Scott; Mary Ann Jacob and Donald Ramsey; Beth Ann Fetzer and Rob Manna; Amy Mangold and John Godin; Sue Erardi and Joseph V. Erardi, Jr; Pat Llodra and Bob Llodra; and Monica Duhancik and Bill Brimmer.
