Burglary/Larceny

Police said they arrested Carey Olson, 19, of Wilton on a warrant on the morning of April 20, charging him with first-degree larceny, third-degree burglary, criminal liability for first-degree larceny, and criminal liability for third-degree burglary.

Police said they arrested Olson at a Bennetts Bridge Road residence after learning his whereabouts.

Olson is the fifth person that police have charged with those offenses in connection with an incident last June at a Sandy Hook home.

Police allege that five males were involved in a June 30, 2006, burglary in which a 2002 Mercedes-Benz auto was stolen from a Misty Vale Road home, as well as approximately $50,000 worth of other items, including jewelry and power tools.

The four other males who were charged had turned themselves over to police at the police station between April 14 and 16.

Olson was arraigned on the charges on April 20 in Danbury Superior Court, police said. Olson was being held this week on $75,000 bail at the Bridgeport Correctional Center.
