*J.D. HILL has started an acoustic open mic at Mocha Coffee House in Sandy Hook. These weekly events will take place on Wednesdays, and start time is 8 pm.

A PA and microphones are provided. Sign-up can be done in person or by phone; call Mocha at 364-9200.

*OTEP will heading at Toad’s Place next week, headlining on May 2 at the New Haven venue. Doors open at 6 and tickets are $20 in advance or $25 on the day of the show.

*Guitarist LEO KOTTKE, whose style draws on blues, jazz and folk, will headline at The Ridgefield Playhouse on May 5. Tickets for that show are $25, and available by calling 203-578-5795 or visiting RidgefieldPlayhouse.org.

The following weekend,  PURE PRAIRIE LEAGUE will be at The Playhouse. Tickets for that show, on May 12, are $50, and also available over the phone or online.

And then on May 18, DAVID SANBORN will headline on the Ridgefield stage. Tickets for the Grammy-winning saxophone legend’s return engagement are $60, and also available by phone or online.
