Mystery Writers At Library

Three mystery writers will be featured at a free panel discussion open to the public Tuesday, May 8, at 7:30 pm, at the C.H. Booth Library. Jessica Speart, Cindy Davis, and Roberta Isleib will present a program for writers and readers of the mystery genre.

Ms Speart is an investigative journalist focused on wildlife law enforcement, endangered species issues, and the environment. She created her sleuth, US Fish and Wildlife Agent Rachel Porter, after years of investigating crimes for the New York Sunday Times Magazine and other publications.

Ms Isleib, a clinical psychologist, channeled her love of golf into writing golf mysteries. Her first series was nominated for both Agatha and Anthony Awards.

Cindy Davis, the third of the authors who are all members of the Sisters in Crime organization for female mystery writers, is the author of two acclaimed middle reader mystery books and has written two mysteries for adults.

To reserve a place, call the library at 426-4533.
